What I Do / My Work

I study and practice in bodywork with a very relational lens. Bodywork can be a dance of discovering how to have more agency while simultaneously being present with what is in the body. This dance includes using bits of discomfort in the effort to find opportunity to allow the body to learn to relax and move in novel ways.

Being able to engage dynamically with your body allows for new shapes to emerge in your everyday experience. Massage can address pain or support with becoming relaxed, but if we don’t also intentionally work with our ability to increase agency and adaptability across the entire body there’s something missing in how we can be. I offer Structural Bodywork sessions.

Finding agency is a creative act

My Story

Several years ago, I was beckoned into bodywork in my passion to find the doorway into discovery and change that touch evokes. Yet just providing touch didn’t seem like enough. So many patterns would remain unbroken when I worked with clients initally or even when I would receive from other practitioners. Applying a lot of my understanding of relational neuroscience into my practice of bodywork I came to believe- alongside touch bodies needs our own attentiveness and responsiveness for differences to emerge. Contentment and peace do not create change on their own-we need aliveness, movement, and learning ways to break patterns to mend our bodies. Often in ways that feel like a stretch either for us physically or mentally! Finding that learning zone for our bodies where we can invite change while also staying grounded and not feeling too overwhelmed is amazing for personal development!

I have invested years into Nonviolent Communication, trauma-informed approaches, somatics, relational neuroscience, and Family Constellations- all of these domains are a crucial cornerstone to my practice. I have so much gratitude for all my teachers and fellow practitioners who have helped me on the path of relating so I can now bring this all into bodywork.
